Performance Calculation Software CTrend (Centrifugal Compressors)

Expertise in compression technology

+12 years of international expertise in centrifugal compressors.

Download CTrend (works under OS Windows 7 and 10)
30-day free evaluation available. After setting up CTrend on your desktop PC, You can get the demo version activated either automatically over the internet or upon requesting an activation code by email (contact email will be provided through the options in the activation screen after first launch).
CTrend is compressor performance modeling software (API 617) for simulating off-design operation and for trending / monitoring. A wide range of utilities is also integrated for calculations during the estimation and preliminary project phases.

How does it work?

In a nutshell, the data needed to build a thermodynamic representation/characterizer of a compressor is the operating data at design point and the performance map (example Polytropic head vs. flow). The map must be available in tabular format, if not, there is an utility embedded in CTrend to digitize the map. Once the data are provided as input inside CTrend, the tool is capable to predict the performance map in offdesign conditions (new inlet operating conditions and/or gas composition) within the limits of the characterizer. CTrend implements state of the art equation of state and compression head calculation methods as well as advanced multi-variable regression techniques and machine learning algorithms (artificial neural nets).
Please see this Presentation for more insights.

Once CTrend is set up on you computer, you can download, unzip and load this Sample Project Case/File to get started.

Suite of Calculation Tools

CTrend software provides a suite of utility tools for gas compression analysis. For example, it enables the calculation of compression head and performance parameters either based on known discharge temperature, polytropic efficiency or gas power. ISO 20765 Standard is implemented for purpose of providing highly accurate equation of state.
